1 Shifu Fukuro-obi Shaded Lacquer
100% silk, lacquered silk, lacquered and metallic-leafed washi paper, Japan.
 
This piece has a very soft sheen throughout. The front is patterned in stripes of flat, lacquered and leafed washi strands, spaced with lacquered  and gilded silk strands.

   The back side is a complex jacquard weave, giving the impression of tight comb-weaving, 100% silk and lacquered/gilded silk threads.
 
Worn, as indicated the slight fold line down the length of the piece. Otherwise in perfect condition.
 
168" long, with 45" of area left unwoven (no pattern) on the front, as is standard in fukuro-obi
