The picks and hooks I carry were made to my specifications by Anthony Klissus, a loom maker in Wyoming. They are handmade and polished using very fine birch wood. Smooth finish and very light weight. #1 has a hook at one end, #2 a spoon-shaped pick, and #3 has a hook and a pick at each end.

This type of hook is most commonly used in Japan to pull gold-leafed weft strands into position in kinran Nishiki weaves and is also quite useful when adding supplemental weft strands to any weave.

The pick is perfect for delicate tapestry weaving and the pick/hook combination offer the convenience of have both always at the ready.
