Furoshiki are cloth wrappers used to wrap and carry items. They come in all sizes - from handkerchief-like diminuitive items to huge room size versions. The larger ones are quite useful as table cloths and bed covers, not to mention wall hangings. Most of them have enough yardage to fashion quite stylish garments.
 
Good condition, excellent quality. Medium weight 100% cotton, handwoven. 44" x 44". Roughly 100 years old.
 
Rich green color (indigo over gardenia yellow). High quality tsutsugaki resist on both sides.
A bit stretched out from use. a tiney wear hole near the upper right of the crest (see photo).
