02 Kaimaki (yogi): Pine, Plum, and Bamboo
Kaimaki, also known as yogi, are oversized-kimono shaped quilts worn at night in the norhtern regions of Japan.
Excellent condition, excellent quality. Medium weight 100% cotton, handwoven. 48"wrist to wrist and  64" tall, neck to hem. 24" side seam to side seam. Roughly 120 years old.
 
Deep, rich forest green background (indigo over gardenia yellow). Additional colors are medium indigo blue, grey (soot), and rust (bengara). Highest quality tsutsugaki resist. Some lint on the inside remaining from the time the lining and batting were removed.
