   Aloha from Hawaii – I’m a college student doing a research paper on the history of Okinawan colors used in bingata (purple, orange, etc.). I’m still very much in the beginning stages, starting with one question, “why are *these* particular colors used? Who, Why, How were they chosen?

   If you have any resources, please let me know as I’m fishing in the dark here.
