Advanced Clothing Design
For the past fifty years, I’ve enjoyed creating unusual garment designs to show off my dyed textiles. My designs were carried for twenty years by Bergdorf Goodman in New York and Obiko in San Francisco. They  have been featured in solo exhibitions sponsored by the US State Department as well as the Embassy of Japan, as well as galleries throughout North America.
If any of the designs on this page pique your interest, or you wonder, “How’d he do that?” then you’ve come to the right place! No secrets or techniques withheld. My goal is to share with you the approach I take in designing garments to show off my hand-dyed textiles–garments that are not only beautiful but comfortable to wear.
